Madonna has actually always been there for me. The queen of pop was around when I was fully into the nightlife and is still here now. My Madonna highlight was the concert at the Amsterdam Arena in 2005, which I attended with my daughters (then 5 and 7). Unforgettable!
I consider the album "Ray of Light" to be Madonna’s best work. It never bores me!

Madonna, full name Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone (Bay City, Michigan, 16 August 1958), is an American singer and actress. In 2008, Billboard named Madonna the most successful solo artist of all time in the Top 100 All Time Artists. Madonna is also known as the ever-transforming Queen of Pop and is the best-selling and most successful female artist of all time. She is also known in the music world as a hard-working perfectionist. According to the Guinness World Records, the Queen of Pop has sold a proven number of over 300 million albums.
Thanks in part to MTV, Madonna quickly managed to build an image. In July 1983, her debut album Madonna was released. The album was a big hit and six months later reached 8th place on the American Billboard 200. The first big hit from this album was Holiday. This record became a worldwide hit. Other hits from this album include Borderline and Lucky Star. Everybody is also on it.
Madonna is generally considered one of the most controversial figures in pop history. For more than thirty years, she has managed to hold the public’s attention with new, for some, shocking images and outfits. This regularly earned her the wrath of one or more (often Christian) organisations, and even the Pope spoke out when the video for Like a Prayer was released, in which she dances in front of burning crosses and is kissed by a living statue of Saint Martin de Porres, usually regarded in Protestant countries as a dark Jesus Christ. Other notorious videos include Express Yourself (SM and bondage), Justify My Love (the first video ever allowed to be broadcast on MTV only after 11 pm) and Erotica (which shows images from her project).
On 14 June 2019, her 14th studio album Madame X was released. It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
