Pink, also written as P!nk, was born Alecia Beth Moore on 8 September 1979. She grew up in Doylestown, a small town near Philadelphia. Her father played guitar and sang a lot for his young daughter. From an early age, Alecia knew she wanted to become a rock star.
At 14, Alecia sang in clubs in Philadelphia. Two years later, she joined the R&B trio Choice from Atlanta. The group signed a record deal with LaFace Records but left the label without releasing an album. Under the name Pink, Alecia remained signed as a solo artist.
Alecia was 20 when she released her debut album on LaFace Records. And with success! The album Can't Take Me Home, from 2000, went double platinum in the United States. The singles 'There You Go', 'Most Girls' and 'You Make Me Sick' all became hits in the US. In the Netherlands, 'There You Go' was especially a big hit. Pink toured with NSYNC and in 2001 collaborated with Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil' Kim on the cover 'Lady Marmalade'. It was a contribution to Baz Luhrmann's film Moulin Rouge. With this, Pink earned her first Grammy for 'Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals'.

On 16 July 2023, we had the pleasure of naming Pink's fourth studio album a Sunday Morning Classic.
“I’m Not Dead” was Pink's fourth studio album and was generally well received by critics. The album featured a mix of pop, rock and R&B influences, exploring various themes such as politics, relationships and self-expression. It also included some well-known hits like “Stupid Girls”, “U + Ur Hand” and “Who Knew”.
Critics often praised the album for Pink's strong vocal performances, catchy melodies and personal, honest lyrics. Some felt the album conveyed a powerful message about feminism and social issues.
Although the album received positive reviews, some critics felt it was somewhat inconsistent in style and that not all tracks were equally strong.
