Merlijn Dewasme

Merlijn Dewasme is a writer, troubadour, poet and thinker. He prefers to be inspired by authenticity in the world around him. "No nonsense" and "no fuss" are two phrases you’ll often hear him say, and all of this is reflected in his lyrics. His songs and ideas are a playful interplay between the search for new perspectives and raw thoughts. At the moment, he mainly translates this into acoustic listening songs in the style of Foy Vance, Stef Bos and Spinvis. To find as many fellow enthusiasts for his style of art as possible, he has been touring Dutch and Belgian living rooms since September, in honour of his upcoming album, entitled ‘Wat neem je mee, wat laat je na?’. All this with the aim of becoming and remaining as true to himself as possible. Care to join in?
