When Fleur (Nina Meurisse) and Julian (Laurence Roothooft) meet by chance, a love quickly grows into something special. They decide to marry, but don’t want to limit their happiness to just one ceremony. In 2017, when same-sex marriage was only legal in 22 countries worldwide, they make an ambitious plan: to say their vows again in all those countries. A unique world trip, intended as a celebration of their love and a plea for equal rights. But life takes an unexpected and moving turn. Julian is much more than a love story.
